Plumbing Jobs, Call by Call

These plumbing jobs show how a service call gets written up, from the first thing the owner noticed to the test the plumber ran before leaving. They are samples made for this demo site: each one names the town, the type of job and what was found and fixed.
Repairs and replacements side by side
Most of the jobs here are repairs, because most calls end in one: a valve that seized, a drain full of roots, a pipe that split on a cold night. A few are replacements, where a water heater had failed or the pipes in a house had leaked often enough that new ones made more sense, and the owners saw both prices before they chose.
What changes from house to house
Older Richmond row houses often have galvanized steel supply pipe and clay sewer lines. Glen Allen subdivisions see water heaters and plastic supply lines wear out on the same streets at about the same time. Wooded lots in Midlothian send roots into long sewer runs, and crawl space pipes there are the first to freeze. The scope on each job says which of these it was.
Your plumbing next
If your plumbing is doing something like one of these, book a service call and describe it. You hear the price of the visit before anyone drives out.
