Plumbing Across the Richmond Area, Town by Town

Richmond, Henrico and Chesterfield
Plumbing across the Richmond area changes more from one neighborhood to the next than most people expect. The houses, the pipes inside them, the soil and trees around them and the office that issues the permit all shift as you cross from the city into the counties. The way we work stays the same everywhere: the service call price before anyone drives out, a written price before any work starts, and a plain explanation of what we found.
Richmond
The city has the oldest plumbing in the area. Row houses in the Fan and Church Hill, bungalows on the Northside and brick ranches on the South Side often have galvanized steel supply pipe, cast iron drain stacks and clay sewer lines, sometimes all in one house alongside newer copper and plastic. Low pressure, repeat leaks and roots in old drain joints are common calls. Our Richmond page explains more.
Glen Allen
Western Henrico is mostly newer subdivisions, with a scattering of older homes on larger lots. Water heaters reaching the end of their life at about the same time across a street, busy family drains and plastic supply lines that split behind a wall or in a garage ceiling make up most of the calls. Our Glen Allen page explains more.
Midlothian
Wooded lots around the Swift Creek Reservoir and along the Midlothian Turnpike mean roots in long sewer lines and pipes in crawl spaces that freeze on the hardest winter nights. Parts of western Chesterfield are on wells and septic. Our Midlothian page explains more.
The same service everywhere
Every one of our plumbing services is available in all three towns, from drain cleaning to water heater replacement, and emergency calls are answered across the whole area.
