What to watch for
Where each part of the plumbing fails
Tank water heater
The usual water heater in older homes. Rusty hot water, popping from the tank and water around its base are the signs it needs a look.
Supply pipes
Old steel and thin copper lines corrode from the inside, so low pressure and repeat leaks show up long before a pipe gives way.
Drain and sewer lines
Grease, wipes and roots build up where you can't see them. A camera shows what's in the line before anything is dug up.
Faucets and fixtures
Worn cartridges, seals and supply lines are behind most drips. A dripping faucet wastes water every day it runs.
